Golf courses and sports stadiums are a thing of the past, and humans have built 50 space stations in which to live. Children who live in Space Stations do not know what the biomes of Earth were like. |
You have been selected to design a Prairie Museum for the Space Station in which you live. YOU must become an expert about the prairie ecosystem, and portray the prairie plants and animals that use to flourish on Earth. Throughout this quest, you will be introduced to short grasses a few inches high and tall grasses which can stand 7 feet tall! Flowering prairie plants, called forbs, will amaze you with their variety. It might be a surprise when you learn the important role that FIRE played in shaping prairies, and that there are 3 kinds of prairies: dry prairie, mesic prairie, and wet prairie. |
